In the STEP-1 trial (68 weeks), adults without diabetes treated with semaglutide 2.4 mg lost an average of ~15% of body weight versus ~2.4% with placebo, alongside reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial (72 weeks), adults without diabetes treated with GLP-1 + GIP  lost an average of 15.0% (5 mg), 19.5% (10 mg), and 20.9% (15 mg) of body weight versus 3.1% with placebo, when combined with reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
